Terms of Service

The service
The ABA Shelf provides an online library of original printable materials, visual supports, and a hierarchy of ABA teaching goals for professionals. The hierarchy and materials support, and do not replace, individualized assessment, treatment planning, supervision, professional judgment, or applicable ethical obligations. Membership provides access to the materials currently available; it is not a promise of a particular future material or release schedule.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and protect your credentials. Individual memberships are for one person and may not be shared. Only one active subscriber session is allowed; signing in on another browser or device replaces the previous session. You are responsible for activity under your account.
License and permitted use
A current individual membership grants a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, print-only license to access materials and print copies for your own professional practice. The service does not provide a material-download option. You may adapt printed use to an individual learner where appropriate.
Prohibited use
You may not resell, redistribute, publish, upload, share or reproduce material files outside the print-only license, remove watermarks or account markings, provide materials through a shared repository, or use the service to infringe another person’s rights.
Membership plans
Standard costs $10.99 per month and includes 10 print actions per monthly billing period. Plus costs $18.99 per month and includes 20 print actions per monthly billing period. Both plans provide the same member Library and teaching hierarchy; the monthly print allowance differs.
Free trial
Eligible new accounts receive one 7-day free trial with 3 print actions total. The trial starts when subscription checkout is completed, not when you create or confirm an account. An account that has already used a trial does not receive another trial when subscribing again.
Billing and automatic renewal
A payment method is required at checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan is charged automatically after the trial and renews monthly until canceled. If you are not eligible for a trial, the first payment is due at checkout. Checkout shows the amount due, any trial end date, and the recurring charge before you confirm.
Prices and taxes
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable sales tax. Stripe calculates applicable tax using your billing address and shows it at checkout and on invoices. Tax at renewal may change if your billing address or applicable tax rules change. Keep your billing address current in the billing portal.
Print allowances
Unused trial prints expire when the trial ends. Monthly print allowances reset at the start of each subscription billing period, not each calendar month. Unused prints do not roll over. Using all trial prints does not end the trial early or trigger an early charge. When available, you may separately review and confirm starting your selected paid membership early. Confirmation ends the remaining free trial and starts monthly billing immediately, with the amount and applicable tax shown before confirmation. After successful payment, your full monthly print allowance begins; trial prints do not count against it. Otherwise, additional prints become available when the paid billing period begins as originally scheduled.
Plan upgrades
When upgrades are available, Standard members may review and confirm an upgrade to Plus in My Account. Stripe calculates the prorated price difference for the remaining paid billing period, plus applicable tax, before confirmation. A paid upgrade takes effect after its required payment succeeds. The renewal date stays unchanged. The current paid period’s allowance becomes 20 print actions total, minus actions already used; the allowance is not prorated and usage is not reset. A change to Plus during the free trial changes the plan billed afterward, without changing the original trial dates, adding trial prints, or charging early. No new trial is granted. Downgrades are not currently available.
What counts as a print action
One print action is counted when The ABA Shelf successfully prepares and delivers one complete material to your browser for printing. Previewing pages does not consume an action. Canceling the browser print dialog after delivery does not restore that action. A browser or operating system may offer Save as PDF, destination, or copy-count options after delivery; The ABA Shelf cannot detect or control those settings, and they do not change the number of actions counted by the site or expand the print-only license.
Cancellation and refunds
Sign in, open My Account, and choose Manage billing / cancel subscription to open the Stripe billing portal. You may cancel there at any time or contact support for help. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge, or before the next renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewals; after a paid cancellation, access ordinarily continues through the end of the current billing period, subject to the remaining print allowance. Your cancellation confirmation shows when the subscription ends. The Refunds & Cancellation Policy is incorporated into these terms.
Read the policyAvailability and changes
We may add, revise, or remove materials and features as the growing library develops. We may suspend access for security, maintenance, nonpayment, misuse, or violation of these terms.
Intellectual property
The website, organization, text, graphics, previews, and materials are owned by or licensed to The ABA Shelf and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No ownership rights are transferred to members.
Disclaimers and limitation
The service and materials are provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, The ABA Shelf disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for professional decisions, learner outcomes, or indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the materials.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be posted here, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
